Volunteering Geelong recently hosted their 2017 AGM at Barwon Water Head Office. Guest speaker, Tracey Slatter - CEO of Barwon Water spoke about the Barwon Water strategies for the future.
Other highlights of the evening was the presentation of Volunteering Geelong Recognition Awards. These awards included - Recognition Award for support of Volunteering Geelong - to Harwood Andrews (pictured below left to right - Jesse Drever, Dianne Sisakpenjlov, Sonia McCabe and Anthony Aitken - President Volunteering Geelong)
Caroline Jordan (Golden Plains Shire Volunteer Coordinator) received the Recognition Award for Best Practice in Volunteer Management (Emergency Management). Alison Duff spoke about the work undertaken by Caroline developing excellent resources to support Golden Plains Shire to recruit volunteers in the event of an emergency in the region. Anthony presented the award to Caroline (pictured below).
