Perhaps you’re newly retired, or have been thinking about volunteering in 2026? This could be the perfect opportunity to give back to your Geelong community.
 
Vinnies are currently seeking a dedicated Interviewer – NILS (No Interest Loans Scheme) to support individuals and families in accessing essential goods and services.
 
Based in South Geelong, this rewarding role with Vinnies NILS gives you the opportunity to work directly with applicants, helping them navigate the loan process with dignity, care, and respect.
 
What you’ll be doing:
🔵Conducting interviews with potential applicants
🔵Assisting with budgeting and application preparation
🔵Explaining processes, timeframes, and requirements
🔵Entering application data using MyNILSapp
Writing clear summaries to support each application
 
They’re looking for someone who:
âś” Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
âś” Can build rapport with empathy and professionalism
âś” Has good computer skills and attention to detail
âś” Brings integrity, honesty, and care to every interaction
âś” Can commit around 3 hours per week for at least 12 months
 
Experience in finance or administration is a bonus, but not essential, full training and ongoing support will be provided.

⏱ Commitment: Approx. 3 hours per week
