2026 Geelong Volunteer Awards
Recognising the vital work of volunteers and volunteer organisations in the Geelong region
Volunteering Geelong in partnership with the Rotary Club of Kardinia has coordinated the annual Geelong Volunteer Awards since 2007.
Each year, we recognise volunteers who have gone above and beyond to support their community.
The awards acknowledge the volunteer services of people from a range of backgrounds and interests. This includes in the arts, heritage, youth support, healthcare, environmental care, sport, recreation, emergency services, or any other service that supports individuals in need or the Greater Geelong community.
Five awards are handed out each year to people who have demonstrated:
- effectiveness as an individual, or as part of a team, in relation to volunteering
- reliability, positivity, flexibility, and initiative during the volunteer work and
- leadership and the ability to inspire others in relation to volunteering.
Each winner receives $1000 of which $750 is donated to the charity of their choice.
