The Pulse recently became independent and is now entirely volunteer-run – making this a unique and exciting time to get involved! They’re looking for a Fundraising Coordinator to help lead the way in generating income, boosting community engagement, and keeping local voices on air.

What you’ll be doing:

• Plan, organise, and deliver creative fundraising events such as subscribe-a-thons, raffles, sausage sizzles, music nights, trivia nights, and more.

• Work alongside our passionate volunteers to source prizes, secure donated goods, and support event promotion.

• Build connections with local businesses, community groups, and media to grow visibility and sponsorship opportunities.

• Oversee event logistics to ensure everything runs smoothly – and attendees have a great time.

You’ll be well supported by our team of enthusiastic volunteers, from event-day helpers to those skilled in social media, marketing, and sponsorships. The Pulse has a proud history of running vibrant community events, and with your leadership we’re ready to keep that momentum alive.

Location

Geelong, VIC (with offices, Wi-Fi, and a kitchen available for volunteers).

Role details

• Suitable for: Skilled volunteers, wheelchair accessible

• Commitment: Ideally 2 days per week (flexible, negotiable)

• Training: Handover and guidance from our previous Fundraising & Subscriber Coordinator

• Reimbursement: To be negotiated

What they’re looking for

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

• A friendly, confident communicator who enjoys working with volunteers, businesses, and the public.

• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and delegate effectively.

• Fundraising or event management experience preferred – but enthusiasm and commitment are just as valuable.

• Knowledge of the Geelong community is a bonus.
