BayTech Solutions’ Story
“We wanted our values to mean something.”
BayTech Solutions prides itself on innovation and community-minded thinking. But according to Operations Manager Liam Foster, they wanted their corporate social responsibility to go beyond a statement on their website.
“We didn’t know where to start,” Liam says.
After contacting Volunteering Geelong, they were guided through opportunities that aligned with their team’s skillset.
“They asked what our people were good at,” Liam explains. “Not just how many hours we could give.”
The result? A skills-based volunteering partnership with a local not-for-profit, where BayTech staff provided digital mentoring and basic IT system improvements.
“The matching was spot on,” Liam says. “It felt purposeful.”
The onboarding process was straightforward, expectations were clearly outlined, and ongoing communication was consistent.
“What impressed us most was the support. We weren’t just handed over — Volunteering Geelong checked in to make sure everything was working.”
For BayTech, the impact extended beyond the organisation they supported.
“Our staff felt proud. It reinforced who we are.”
The partnership continues today.
