About us
Our Purpose
Volunteering Geelong is an independant, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to promoting and supporting volunteering across Geelong, the surf coast, and Otway regions.
Since 1998, we’ve worked with individuals, groups, and organisations to make volunteering easy and meaningful by:
- Interviewing and training people who want to volunteer
- Connecting volunteers with local not-for-pofit groups and organisations
- Supporting business and larger organisations with staff volunteering opportunities
- Coordinating programs that build confidence and skills for vulnerable members of the community
As a Volunteer Resource Centre, we also advocate for the value of Volunteering across Greater Geelong, Golden Plains, Queenscliffe, Colac Otway, and Surf Coast. Part of this work includes coorindating the annual Geelong Volunteer of the Year Awards.
Our Fundraising is managed through the Volunteering Geelong Community Foundation, established in 2019 to support volunteer services help the most vulnerable in our community and promote a fairer, more equitable society.
